Bob Burns / Project Manager |
 |
Bob was raised in Venezuela,
obtained an Engineering education in
New York followed by 25 years with
IBM. None of this prepared him for
15 years of sailing around the world
or enduring Alaskan winters.
Fortunately he picked up a few
project management skills that came
in handy in New Zealand, engineering
skills that kept a sailboat in
working condition and now a desire
to contribute to his adopted
community of Homer.
Along the way, Bob served two years
in the US Army and then helped IBM
build several strategic Intelligence
and Space command and control
systems installed around the world |

Ever since I was a young boy I have
been involved with technology and
electronics. From dismantling
copiers in the late eighties to
dismembering large scale networks, I
loved to learn. As life moved on
through school I educated myself.
Finding the skills that carried me
into working with computers and
following the devices that connect
with them, I have a broad
understanding of their conception
and design. Using these tools along
my career path, I opened Pc
Paramedics - a computer repair
company. It was based out of
Anchorage AK. Learning from every
persons situation, how to help them
understand what they were trying to
do. I got a taste of many creative
minds. As a result I've come to
understand that we are all artists
because we are alive
